At TheraHive, we are on a mission to make mental health skills as accessible as possible to as many people as possible. Founded in 2020 by industry experts—including Dr. Alicia Smart and Dr. Jesse Finkelstein, leading practitioners of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)—we’ve built an innovative online learning platform that teaches scientifically proven skills to improve mental health.
By combining self-paced learning with live, coach-led small groups, we make evidence-based mental health support affordable and accessible to all. Students can join our program from anywhere in the world!
Now, we need your help to spread the word. We are looking for a creative, mission-driven Content Marketing Intern to join our remote-first team.
Not Your Average Internship
At TheraHive, we view internships as a way to learn and develop new skills while having real ownership of projects. You won't just be making slide decks. You will actively work on developing, refining, and measuring marketing campaigns, managing social media, and launching influencer programs. And of course, our team is here to support you as you learn how to leverage generative AI to create content at scale, navigate our internal systems and tools, and developing concrete marketing skills.
What You'll Do:
- Content Creation: Craft engaging content for social media, blog posts, newsletters, and topic pages.
- Social Media Management: Own the scheduling, creation, and community engagement across our platforms.
- Growth Brainstorming: Collaborate directly with the marketing team to cook up creative new growth strategies.
- Influencer Marketing: Assist with outreach and relationship management for our influencer programs.
- Community Support: Help nurture the TheraHive community through content development, student engagement, and events.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is highly organized, creative, and deeply passionate about mental health and wellness.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Can commit to 15 to 20 hours a week on a Pacific Time Zone business hours.
- Is currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Is familiar with social media platforms and content creation tools.
- Bonus Points: You know how to leverage generative AI (like Claude or Gemini) to assist with written content creation and rigorous fact-checking/proofreading.

- We'll review and respond to applications on a rolling basis.
- Applicants who pass our screening process will be invited for a first round interview with our Head of Marketing, Chantal Despres.
- Successful applicants will move to a second round interview with our CEO, Roland Smart.
- We aim to communicate final decisions within 2 weeks of receiving your appliction.
